Chromaffin cell biologists have a life. Dr. Carmichael is the Chair of the Department of Anatomy at the Mayo Clinic. He is also a professional SCUBA diver (PADI Divemaster) and member of the Olmsted County Sherrif's Dive Team. He and his wife, Susan Stoddard, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and wrote a "how-to" book about it. The book is called Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and is available through Amazon.com
